U.S. Navy Retired Capt. Gig Michaud
Captain Gig Michaud is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captain (Master), and a Retired Navy Captain, having served for 26 years, both on Navy Active Duty and in the Active Navy Reserves.
Captain Gig has a lifetime of experience on the ocean. He has crewed, captained, and/or owned various boats from 8 feet to 65 feet. He has yachting experience throughout the Atlantic Coast from Maine to Florida. In addition to his U.S. Coast Guard Captain (Master) License (license #3545741), Captain Gig is a Licensed Captain for Towboat US, a Licensed Training Captain for Freedom Boat Club, and a Licensed Training Captain for Private Boat Lessons. Captain Gig delivers Yachts/Boats for private owners or companies along the Eastern Seaboard. In addition to Capt. Gig’s private yachting experience, his experience serving aboard 4 Navy Ships, from 390 feet to 1,063 feet, as a qualified Surface Warfare Officer, helped him gain further knowledge of the Ocean. He transited across the Atlantic Ocean 5 times on various Navy Ships. His expertise will provide you with experiences so vastly different while allowing you to enjoy “your own boat.”
